Hi all. This looks to be a useful site!

I have a Green power Unique 500, and have a couple of problems.

I use the scooter on a private estate where I live and it has very good roads. It will only switch to speeds 1 and 2, and I would like to use 3 ( or even no speed control, as there are no legal issues on the estate.

I am familiar with mechanics, and pretty good with electrics, but not brilliant with electronics.

I have stripped the bodywork off and resprayed it a rather fetching Ferrari yellow. The scooter was left outside for a while, so I'm going through all the connections, and currently have no working brake lights.

One of the rear axle bearings is leaking oil (at 130 miles!) I do not intend to buy a whole half axle as Green power would sell. I should be able to press out and replace the sealed bearing with a better quality one.

If somebody has tips on how to raise it's speed to15mph at least, I would be very grateful.

All the best, in anticipation,

Dawsonby

Hi @dawsonby. I'm sorry you've not had a response to this yet. There are some very knowledgeable members on the subject of mobility scooters. There's a lot of discussions within our Transport and Travel that may be helpful to you.

I must advise though, that making certain changes or raising speed above the legal limit will likely cease your warranty and may make your scooter illegal to ride on the roads etc. Appreciate you've referenced using it on a private estate.
