Motability Foundation
Hello Everyone I would like to find out how people have been finding the experience with Motability Foundation (grants team)? I have had an awful personal experience and wondering how many of us are out there who feel like the team have not listened to their concerns and feel treated unfairly? I am in the process of…

Do i need to inform DWP if son passes his Driving test
Good morning all, I am new to the group - my son receives PIP, he has the high rate on daily living/help getting around. He is likely to put in for his driving test soon and I am concerned as to whether this is needed to be declared to DWP. He has a 10 year award, which is runs out in March 2027 - I understand hes likely…

Hi, my name is Rabbit9552! applying for a Blue Badge.
Hi everyone, Just thought I would join the forum to see what everyone’s experience has been like on applying for a Blue Badge. I have heard that it can be a difficult process to be accepted. I have just been awarded the higher level of AA. I know this doesn’t automatically count to getting a Blue Badge but would it count…

Topic. I collected a P license application form from the PO earlier, need to get some help filling it in as I'm not sure what to put regarding my disabilities to not make it an instant rejection? Can anyone assist? I have level 2 Autism, Dyspraxia and type 2 Diabetes.

How many left ?
Anyone who knows anything about cars, will be amazed to hear that the, once, common as muck Vauxhall Cavalier is just about gone. I had 2, in the 80's, so did my Dad and half of my street. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/vauxhall_cavalier says that there are currently just 3 left taxed in the whole of the UK.. Could…

Motability Question: Tax increase
Could someone confirm exactly what difference the tax increase will make to a new Motability user ? I assume that it is the downpayment that will increase by 20% (VAT) - It can't be any increase in ongoing payments (ie PIP Mobility) because that is fixed. If that's the difference then it's no big thing, slightly annoying…

Mobility car advice needed please
Hi, i have a mobility car, my local dealership closed recently. I've had a recall on the car. However, it's 60 miles away to my nearest car dealership. I do the school run, there won't be enough time to stay up there, I'm newly taking insulin now, and so fatigued that driving there and back is no option for me. They can't…

Should I spend £34 on applying for a Provisional driving license?
To potentially get lessons in an Automatic with a view to getting a Motability car via cashing in my enhanced PIP Award? Thing is, I was turned down in July 2003 aged 27 on medical grounds by the DVLA, nearly 23 years later would the same thing happen again if I was to reapply?

How accessible is Eurostar?
Source from The Independent Eurostar has introduced improvements on its trains for travellers with disabilities – Carrie-Ann Lightly boards at St Pancras to see how they stand up in practice Train travel gave me my independence. In my early twenties, it opened up a version of the world I hadn’t thought possible. It was the…

Hiring a designated driver?
Above. Could it be one of the staff here? I've just spoken to a local Motability dealer I found on Google last week, a guy called Dylan Bailey's supposed to email or call me this week to discuss options for a small Motability vehicle for a small down payment. I will discuss this with my Finance company when I get a chance,…

Pavement obstruction
Hi all, I am considering getting a mobility scooter, but pavements around where I live often have cars partly parked on pavement. How much space can I expect local council to maintain for safe passage ? Are there any rules or regulations which cover obstruction of pavements ?

If I was to talk to the PIP people today about getting a Motability Car...
And hiring a designated driver, would they be able to help me? I know it's a long weekend for the Bank Holiday so they might not be open. I can look the number up on Google.

Motability changes
We live rurally , have to travel to the next county for hospital appointments. There's no public transport. Really Concerned how we'll manage with milage being reduced to 10,000/year. If we want to do anything we have to drive.

Mobility Giant Buy Back
I called Mobility Giant last week, and we agreed on a price for my now unused boot scooter. Today at 07:45, a van collected the scooter, and I was told to call their office in Sevenoaks after 09:00, in order to receive my money. Yes, selling privately would secure higher sale price, but i wanted to let you know that such a…

Would I be able to cash in my enhanced PIP for a Motability car?
Even though I was medically disqualified from ever driving nearly 23 years ago, and would possibly have to hire a designated driver? One of the residents here, who was 61 on Tuesday has one, even though he doesn't drive it himself as he can barely walk without a frame. One of the staff drove him up to Leeds for his…

E-goes Freedom Chair DE08L
After trying out both the Quickie Q50R Carbon, and the Motion Healthcare Electron, both very light folding powerchairs, I decided they weren't suitable for my needs; more for someone wheeling around a shopping centre. The DE08L i have gone for, it is twice the weight, but breaks into two pieces, and can tackle outdoor…
