Advice please. Turned down migration appointment, what happens now?
When migrated to uc had to inform of disabilities & fill the form for wca.
When the appoinment came was stressed & said i didnt want to do it which i was told by them was allowed.
Im still having to send in my sick notes so what does that mean?
Will i have to fill another form in the future?
Its so confusing

Bump. I've almost given a year of sick notes & was wondering if I will have to do a WCA in the future?

Hi,
Which benefit did you migrate from?
Are you currently in the LCW or LCWRA groups?

It was from income support. I'm not currently in lcw or lcwra.

Thank you. In that case, you will need to complete a WCA to be put into one of those groups.
LCWRA currently adds over £400 a month to your UC, so it really is in your interest to complete the WCA if you are able. As long as your fit notes have all been consecutive, you will be due a large amount of backpay if you are put into the LCWRA group.
There are major changes coming in April, where new LCWRA claimants will only get around half as much additional payment, so I would recommend you push for a WCA now if you feel up to it. I suspect what has happened is all of your commitments have been turned off by UC staff, and the system has basically 'forgotten' about you due to the unusual situation.

So since I'm in limbo do I need to request it again as I never heard back about it (like I was refused or accepted) before April or since the fit notes are continuous is it OK after?

Sorry just to be clear I completed wca back last year was too stressed to complete interview & lady said that was fine & I would hear off uc (believed they could do it without interview) but never heard anything either way.

Ok, it sounds like you haven't completed the WCA yet. Only filled in the UC50 form so far.
It is possible to have a paper based assessment, but that hasn't happened either if you're still in limbo without being placed in either group.
The best option now would be to ask UC to check that you are still in the queue for a paper-based assessment. If yes, then you just have to keep waiting. If they say no then they might ask you to fill in a new UC50 form and start again.

You could apply enquire with the health assessment agency to see what the status of your case is.
