good morning all.
Just looking for a bit of information regarding LCWRA and backdating payments.
I have been sending in fit notes since 14th August 2024 last fit note was through till 8th of July 25 no gaps at all in fit notes.
Thursday 12 December 2024 Uc50 was sent to be filled out had my wca 28/03/2025.
on 08/05/2025 I was awarded LCWRA with the 1st payment being made included in my UC this will be paid 18/05/2025 seems rather fast for 1st payment. I have no information regarding backdating I have sent a journal message with all the information on the 11/05/2025 so far no response from anyone at UC

My assessment period is 12th to the 11th every month if this helps

Hope someone can help with any backdated payments I may be owed as I’m new to the UC system and it’s confusing at times so would appreciate any advice or help

Some decisions are processed quicker than others.

Backpay is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least.

You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed. Payment will then follow within a few working days.

thank you for the reply Kimi87 appreciate you taking time to respond. From the dates/information above can can anyone tell me if I will actually be owed any backdated payments as I said I don’t know anything.
to my understanding August isn’t counted but September onwards is counted to the 3 months relevant period from what I’ve worked out it should be 3/4 months backdated?

september/october 2024 1st month rp

October/november 2024 2nd rp

November/december 3rd rp

So January 4th month February 5th month March 6th month April 7th month may has already been added to my uc. If this makes sense?

What date did you report the health condition?

1st reported 12th August 2024 fit not sent in from the 14th of August 2024 been sending fit notes since then without gaps

There is a rule if you report health condition & submit first Fit Note within 7 days at the beginning of your assessment period, that counts as a whole AP.

As you did this your relevant period will be:

August/September

September/October

October/November

Eligible for LCWRA element November/ December onwards, first paid December 18th.

5 months owed.

hi all

thought I would return to say I have after three weeks of waiting and chasing up via journal finally been awarded backpay for the five months as kimi87 said above.
does anyone have a rough idea of when this will be put into the bank is it weeks or days after being told I’m owed backdated lcwra?

If you've had a letter confirming the amount owed, then you should receive the money into your bank account within a few working days.
