Changed to new doctor while awaiting WCA

Hi! I sent off my UC50 Form on 1st April 2025. So far I have received 2 x 1 month Fit Notes (Feb & March) and 1 x 3 month Fit Note (April - June) so I'm all up to date and awaiting details of when I will have my assesment.
I am due to see my doctor on 29th May but I received a phonecall from the surgery this afternoon saying my doctor wasn't available and I've been booked in with another doctor (ok fair enough). Problem is, this doctor knows nothing of my health and what I've been dealing with in regards to my own doctor. When I asked when my own doctor would be back/available the receptionist says they did not know. I don't know what my doctor has written in my notes. I do have the Patient Access portal but every time I try to log in it asks for 6 digits which I don't have and it doesn't recognise me so I can't see my notes for myself.
I am rather concerned this other doctor will look at my notes and say I'm ok. I also don't know if WCA have even contacted my doctor.
Has anyone else experienced a change of doctor at a crucial time? Is this something they do (especially with bringing in all the changes) so that a different doctor says you are fit and well. I am rather concerned now!

Hi @A_Z1961 bless you, it's totally understandable to be nervous as it's an important appointment. I've not experienced this particular situation myself but in general I've seen a few alternative doctors in the last year at my practice and they've always been very good and felt as if I were treated the same. Hopefully they'll take a good thorough look at your notes and speak to you to gain an understanding of how you're doing. 🙂
