hello how long does a back payment take to be finalized
0 -
It takes several weeks at least.
You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed. Payment will then follow within a few working days.

As Kimi mentioned, it can take a few weeks to get things sorted. It can vary a lot from case to case but hopefully yours doesn't take too long.
How do you normally manage your claim? If you manage it by phone you may be able to ring them up and see if they have any further updates.

If you are referring to a LCWRA award, then LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

what do u mean

I mean if you have been awarded LCWRA, when calculating any backpay nothing is owed or paid for the first three full assessment periods dating from the first Fit Note - and the Fit Notes had to have been provided without breaks, gaps any that were backdated.
Please see this thread for an example of an estimated payment timeline I did for another poster:
If you have been awarded LCW then no extra money is paid for that.
