Can I change my phone number from uc account?

I'm on ns-esa and uc. I have a phone appointment to agree to my new style esa commitments. I need to update my phone number. Left an entry in uc journal but they said I should do this myself by reporting changes of circumstances from inside the uc portal.

If I do this in the uc portal will it also update for the ns-esa too?

No you need to phone ESA and update them with your phone number.

I realise the NS ESA commitments appointment comes through the UC Journal, but they are separate benefits administered separately.

Yes but I originally received a message in the uc journal from the lady informing me that she had tried to call me to let me know about the appointment date, and then proceeded to inform me of the date of the phone appointment. So she must have been from esa, right? And she had access to the uc portal. Will they not just inform esa too if I report the change via the portal?

Not necessarily. As Kimi has stated that ESA is totally separate from UC. And UC do not on occasion inform ESA of your change , so you would need to inform ESA yourself.

She could , but they would more than likely want to speak to you as you are the claiment

Unfortunately the only way to contact ESA is by phone. Your Mum can support you during the call and take over after you have given your consent for her to speak on your behalf.

Thank you. I tried calling them just now then realised after 30 minutes they are actually closed at 5pm. I don't know why they don't tell you as your waiting in the queue. So annoying.

Anyhow, I have no choice but to call in the morning now. My issue is that my appointment is in the late afternoon. Will they update it in time? I leave everything last minute.

I have just spent 1.5h then 2h this morning trying to get through to esa to change my number. I can't get through. What should I do? My appointment is 4pm this afternoon. Please advise.

There is nothing you can do except keep trying the number. There is no other form of contact for ESA.

Did you manage to get through to them before your appointment?
