Hi, I'm nettypet68! Is there another way to get through to ESA? Why do UC deduct for carers?

Is there another way of getting through to ESA, apart from on the phone, I have been on hold an hour and a half, I have had a missed payment today and we are moving house tomorrow, I just don't have the time for this. And anyone else have an underlaying element for carers support payment but because they receive ESA newstyle, that cancels out the payment? And every month Universal Credit deduct Carers Support Payment from my benefit which I don't Get

Hi @nettypet68, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear your payment is missing at such a crucial time, that's so stressful.
Unfortunately the phone line is probably the best way to get in contact with them. I really hope you get through soon.

Thank you, I finally got through after three and a half hours, it seems I'm being migrated to Universal Credit, thank goodness I am doing permitted work, so won't be as strapped but will probably struggle mid month. Thank you for replying, Kindest regards

Glad you finally got through, that's a long time to wait!
From what I heard from other members there seemed to be some problems with the phone lines yesterday as more than one person mentioned they were finding it difficult to get through. Fingers crossed they sort themselves out soon so people can get what they need.
Hope your migration goes smoothly!
