Hi all, I have recently filled a health form in in support of a council accommodation application, however they are telling me that I have to have up to date evidential info supported by a professional and GP letters are not accepted so where do I go from here please I have left side paralysis both my knees are to be replaced and this stems from a brain injury I received when involved in a motorcycle RTA forty years ago.

Hi @mikekewell, That's a tough one! Do you see any specialists at all at the moment or have you been managing okay on your own?

Have you seen any other health-related professionals to help you manage your condition more recently? For example, anyone from occupational health who might be able to help support your application.

While a GP letter isn't accepted, I wonder if your GP might know where you could get some evidence to help support your claim. It could be worth asking them to see if they can help anyway, even if they can't write a letter.

Hope our community members might have some ideas too. Fingers crossed you can get something sorted soon.

Hi! Perhaps you have papers written by a specialist in the selection of a rollator, wheelchair, etc.? This is just an idea, I am not a lawyer.
