Going abroad
Hi all
if one is on disability benefits, how often is one allowed to go abroad in a year for a month at a time.
Many thanks

Hi @Tinabella - if you're just claiming PIP, you can go abroad for 13 weeks at any one time.
With UC it's a month (usually regarded as 30 days), tho the day you leave & arrive back in the UK don't count if you don't have any work or other committments.
With ESA it's stated as being 4 weeks.
You can go abroad for these time periods as often as you want in a year.

Hi CHiarieds
Thank you kindly for coming back to me, so if I get both UC and PIP, can I go abroad numerous times during the year up to one month only, which is 30 days excluding leaving the day and day coming back?
Many thanks

You're welcome.
If you receive the LCWRA element of UC (& PIP), then that's absolutely correct.
