Can I get Universal credit being a student?
hi,
I’m an 18 year student, at college doing my btec first year. I got one year left at college.
Currently I’m living in a shared room, in a private house. I left home a year ago after parents got divorced and no one wanted to keep me. My uncle has been helping pay my rent (which is inclusive of bills) but he’s losing his job and I’m very worried. Got no support. Not even from parents.
Anyway, I’m wanted to know if I can get Universal credit, I didn’t apply before as the landlord of the house I share said I can’t get benefits.
But I need help, advice and a way to get my life in order. I just got a part time job, working a few hours a week. But it’s just about enough to get some extra food and pay my mobile phone bill
I appreciate help, advice.
Thanks
landan

Generally you can't get Universal Credit as a full time student.
There are a few exceptions:
Your College should have advice & help that you can access.
