From what I have experienced, this country, all the MP's, and the Government does not care about disabilities, health and safety.

I have to disagree, I've had a lot of contact with my local MP due to ongoing issues & he has been amazing. I will agree that Keir & Angela seem to be on a different planet but there are some positive people out there

I agree with both of you - often good constituency MP can be very centred on helping but that doesn’t detract from the fact that when the economy of six is ery resources are stretched disabled people and elders become low priority - and we have few political parties today who want to prioritise us.

Nobody with any sense would choose to be a UK politician these days sben.
The economy is still experiencing the throes of the 2008 financial crisis. Our earnings have barely increased since then compared to the increases in costs. The plague and various conflicts serving as icing for our now barely supportable cake of national debt.
As medicine has improved in recent decades both expectations and their costs have increased very dramatically.
Unfortunately the sums no longer add up. Savings have to be made because taxes are already punishingly high. There's almost nothing which could be cut without someone suffering.
That's just where our (and international) economics is. I'm sure solutions may be available, but I've no idea how they could work.
At least global warming is improving the weather though, eh?

Since my autism diagnosis in 2021 and given my 30 years in supermarket retailing, 24 years living in the U.K., not only do I agree with sben, it’s got far worse under corrupt globalist traitors Starmer and his (Labour) government, even compared to 2008, serving their globalist masters - its unelected, unaccountable and untouchable senior civil servants, who hold the real power in government, who are ultimately responsible for this situation as most of this is ideologically driven - its gone beyond “positive v negative” or “leftist v other” political ideologies, it’s really about patriots v traitors, those that have sold their country out - there is no longer any political nor democratic solution, given the damage done to democracy and the democratic process for decades, where democracy has been damaged beyond repair to no longer be fit for purpose - nothing less than real patriots in the military dropping all ideologies and programming, coming together with police and other concerned people to put a military government into power, arresting the current government and the King on charges of treason and sedition against the British people is the only solution, along with many others in positions of power, where these mass arrests must come on top of a wider national state of emergency and martial law to secure a fairer deal for sick and disabled people and stop them from siphoning much-needed wealth and investment out of the U.K. - we know that during Covid, the super-rich got even richer and profited off peoples misery - I’m no leftist, but what I’ve seen is gross injustice and exploitation. [removed by moderator - inappropriate for community] The cuts to benefits to sick and disabled people in the U.K. are already inhuman, unjust and breach the moral law and have been ruled against by many courts in the U.K. and elsewhere, but this Labour government simply does not care - we as sick and disabled people would honestly get a far fairer deal if the U.K. was ruled by a military dictatorship government
