Pip letter changes in pip law ?

Hi @JellyBabies - if you have been awarded PIP by the DWP (not a tribunal) & if this change would mean you may now be awarded the daily living component, or have the standard rate of the daily living component increased to the enhanced, & your PIP award was sometime between 6 Apr 2016 & 17 Sept 2020, then this might apply to yourself. If you already have the enhanced rate for this component, then obviously that can't be increased.
Altho it says the social support needed has to be from someone trained, that's not quite correct as a judge ruled it could also be from a family member or friend.

I have read the letter? It was more about them saying the law has changed at the top ..how has the law changed if its not been passed

It's about a change in the law in 2016 about how they were looking at social support in one of the PIP descriptors (9c) in the activity 'Engaging with other people face to face:'
You can see about the change in law here:
The law has changed, it's just it's taking the DWP a long time to contact claimants that might have been affected by this.
