Hi @sammieb1974 this post might be helpful to have a little look through. It's a similar situation and the first few comments especially help to answer it 😊

Ive read this but doesn't make sense we are on esa/ pip at the moment he claims for me has for years now when I first got my housing association house in 2007 he didnt live with me but a while later moved in he started claiming for me as a couple and i phoned my housing association and they said they would add him to tenancy the housing benefit is in his name and were both on council tax ir just this tenancy thing thats really stressing me out we can prove he benefit pay the rent in his name etc its just this stupid tenancy thing we have to migrate over before 3rd July so basically we have both had letter saying we need to go on to universal credit so we have to both make a claim separately and join them together obviously the housing association know he lives here as the benefits rent money is paid to them and its in partners name its just so stressful now people have said it wont make a difference we will still get full housing just like it was like with housing benefit I just need to know if anyone has been in same situation my head is in bits hes poorly he has lots of health problems and ive been told to try claim carers too ,he doesn't have a bank account we only have my account were his benefit goes in to and has for many years just wondering if anyone else has had this issue or will it be fine any advise we both dont work
