Hi, my name is v5578! i was signed off sick December 22nd 2023, my fit notes have all been provided.

Hello, i was signed off sick December 22nd 2023, my fit notes have all been provided with no date gaps between them, April 30th 2024 i asked if they would be needing to assess me, in June 2024 they advised me they would be assessing me, i then had to wait till December for them to send a uc 50 form to me...I cheser them for this form only to be told "there's a process and youve not been put through the process yet" I sent my form back on 23rd December 2024 and was finally assessment in May and as of 21st may I have been awarded LWCRA, my first paying coming this Friday, am I due back pay? A whole year its take them to send me the forms...6 months of me chasing them for them.

I appreciate any clarity on this

You should be entitled to back pay but we don't have enough information here.

What date was your first fit note submitted please?

And what are the dates of your UC assessment periods?

Thank you for replying, my first fit note was 22nd December 2023 and my assessment periods are the 6th-7th of each month,

Thank you. I estimate 13 months worth of backpay there.

The first 3 full assessment periods is the waiting time, no money owed there. (December is a partial period so that is ignored completely.)

Then counting the periods from April 7th 2024 to May 6th 2025.

January/February
February/March
March/April
April/May

Then you'll get your first payment for May/June 2025 AP this week.

Thank you, i can see im getting my first months payment this Friday, but no mention of backpay, no letters, it was may 21st when I got my award letter, so almost 3 weeks ago, should I query it?

You're welcome. They are very busy so delays are expected. There's no harm in contacting them for an update but 4-8 weeks seems to be a realistic timescale at the moment.
