PIP Review

My PIP is under review and all I keep seing on facebook groups and stuff is everybody getting denied and appeals taking ages. I'm more or less housebound at this point and rely on that money to live. I'm so stressed out worrying that it's going to get stopped 😔

Hi @Retnefel
I understand its hard seeing so many upsetting stories online but there are also people who do get their PIP renewed without issues as well! I know its easier said than done but please try not to compare your reviews to other peoples on the internet, I really hope your review goes smoothly and you hear back soon1 -
I too just like you waiting for my review and when I read other people’s bad experiences on losing their awards etc and not enough points is dreadfully upsetting and then having to fight back! However, like Mary said easier said than done! I lost a lot of my hair with all the stress just around filling the form and that will never happen again, because I not let them get the better of me and will fight back if I have to if and when the time comes.

Hi - I've just been through my first review, and it can be stressful! Thankfully, I kept the same award levels, so try not to worry too much, it can happen without a fight.

Hey, i'm going through my first reivew too so understand your anxiety.
I only sent my form back just over a week ago. It's the waiting thats the worst. Not knowing how long I'm going to have to wait to hear back.

Not everyone's gets stopped, a good proportion get renewed too! I would stay off social media as what is being said could well be blown out of proportion. I gather you have sent in your review form, I realise it's a worrying time, but try and keep calm, as it could take months with the backlogs to get a decision. Your PIP payments will continue. Read a book or listen to music to take your mind of your review. Worrying will not help the situation either. Relax and keep in touch if you need to talk about it!
