Just a quick question

ok if I have 3 god kids love them all and their mom and would do anything for them and do everything for them, well something happened today I just need to know I I should walk away. We went to have some fun and I always pay for them even when I don’t invite them but we was fixing to head out to go home and we stoped into this cool store and I told them I’ll get them something but nothing over 10.00 each. Well that’s when hell broke loose the mom got mad at me and yelled at me in this store and was saying bad thing to me. We was walking out side and she is still yelling at me telling me it’s fucked up I am playing favorites with the kids (I don’t) ok well maybe the baby but he is a baby. Should I walk away

I think you need to ask Oprah, or Ricki.

How can anyone tell you whether you should leave your woman and her 3 kids? Only you know that, mate.

Is this out of character would you say? If anyone embarrassed me in public like that, there wouldn't be a second episode, as i would be out of their life sharpish.

Hi @okie82 Welcome to the Community. If this was a one off I would ask them what brought all this on? If it has happened before I would seriously consider if this is the kind of friendship you want.
It is ok to treat them from time to time but not if it is always expected and taken for granted.
Be kind to yourself.

Sorry to hear you had that experience @okie82, it sounds like you were just trying to be kind to the kids.
As others have said, if she acts like this regularly maybe it is time to think about walking away for your own mental health. But if it was a one off, perhaps she's going through something and this event set her off in some way. While it's not okay that she shouted at you in public, it could be that she was having a hard time that day and this is the way it all came out.
Do you think you'd be up to chatting to her about it or do you feel she'd react badly?
Hope you can find a way forward soon.
