Universal credit SSWP v MJ [2025] UKUT 035
Hi, I have waiting since the 17th February for my mandatory reconsideration because of the tribunal ruling SSWP v MJ [2025] UKUT 035. I have been recently told that my case as been escalated and once policy and legal agreed to follow the tribunal ruling my mandatory reconsideration would be sorted. I was informed yesterday that policy and legal have agreed but I would have to wait my turn. So ok that’s fair but not what I was told. The tribunal ruling changed on the 29/01/25 and my LCRWA date from the decision was the 10/02/25 which was 12 days after ruling. I think waiting over five months suffering hardship because not only losing money I’m paying back money I don’t owe since February. Ironically the tribunal ruling changed because it was unlawful taking away the full transitional protection but still happening. Is anyone going through the same situation as me and if so how long have you been waiting?. I am giving Universal Credit a few more weeks and I will be contacting my Mp. Regards Neil.
