Hi, my name is kazg! taken off esa last year so I have to go through process again it’s confusing

I put my lwca uc50 form in on February 24th they said received it I’ve had no confirmation but found out when I called the date they received it I have epilepsy anxiety depression back spasms carpel tunnel endometriosis that’s all I can remember as my memory is not good either I can’t understand why I have to apply as I was on esa and migrated onto uc my health conditions have been same for over 25 years all I get told is there’s a backlog I explain this is not new illness but they just tell me to contact dwp I feel like I’m going round in circles and my work coach says to me I was taken off sick esa last year so I have to go through process again it’s all very confusing as I get dla for my illnesses so how can I be fit for work with another benefit I’m going to seek help from advice works or citizens advice it’s so stressful they are definitely picking on the vulnerable I will update if I ever hear anything back to help others

Unfortunately each benefit is a separate entity, so you can be seen as someone needing a load of extra help to one benefit, but totally fit and healthy with another. So it is a case of having to jump through the many hoops for each benefit in turn.
