Question about deceased person State Pension

Hi all, my first post here, i hope i come across clearly. I lost my lovely father in 2022 to a heart attack and my mother who has a disability, is with us. She will be 66 next year in June 2026 which I believe is when she will receive state pension. Does anyone know if she has a claim to my late fathers state pension? They are Husband & Wife legally and have a marriage certificate as proof. She has not received any letters from DWP informing her.

No I don't think she can.
As far as I am aware we can only claim a spouses private pensions but check it out with CAB
