Local job center is shut trying send me to another

Hi
I have mental health issues and I had an appointment with my local job center today to verify my id as their saying it can't be done via video call or biographical as there isn't enough information on me apparently which I find strange, I really siked myself up to going today.my husband has even said he can take it in for me for me as it's a joint claim but they are refusing.
They put a message in my journal this morning to say the job center is shut I said I need to do this as my mental health is bad and to get it out of the way, they don't know when a home visit would be and they don't know when they will be open they have left me really stressed 😥 and anxious without money. I just don't know what to do.

Sorry I forgot to add they are trying to force me to go to another centre where I don't feel comfortable going and when I suggested another local center they told me no and I've got to send evidence why I can't go to the one they suggested and if the evidence is good enough they will consider a different center and then wait to see what availability they have 😔.

Would it not be best to bite the bullet and just go to the other centre? I mean, now that you have mentally prepared yourself, you must just want to get it over with?

The centre they are offering is in an area where I haven't been to for years due to family issues which has caused a lot of my mental health issues and the thought of even going there makes me extremely nervous I don't want to take a chance incase I see any of the family members as it could be a case I don't see them and it could be a case of I do.
There is another one in which is closer in which I feel better in going to and they have said no.

I suppose it's easier said than done. I hope they allow you to go to the other Jobcentre.
In my experience, the DWP can be really bloody minded about minutiae.

Are you ok with them coming to collect the ID? to me thats a reasonable adjustment.
I had something similar early this year with them trying to bully me to attend to give them some evidence, I stood my ground and they eventually came to collect it.
Sadly the DWP hasnt heard of technology yet, and wont accept uploads for some of this stuff. Even getting a passport can be done online now.0
