Do you have a spare bedroom, and recieve regular overnight care from a non resident carer?

Hi Kimi87 no I live alone

Unless you answer yes to both my questions, there is no need to tell UC about your PIP award as it has no impact on your UC award.

I don't receive any over night care.

Then as advised UC don't need to know about your PIP award.

Hi Ester,
So you know, I was awarded PIP and I receive UC and this includes Housing Element which I pay to my landlord. I didn't tell UC re: PIP. But DWP informed my local authority even though it does not impact on Housing Element, for Council Tax. So, if you receive Housing Benefit now called housing element as it is under UC, DWP may tell them. None of their business I thought but it happened.

Hi legwax thank you for sharing this information

I found out my local Council had been told about my PIP award, it didn't impact my Council Tax Reduction as currently my local authority disregard PIP (not all do).
I didn't tell UC as it wouldn't change anything about my award (I live in a one bedroom home).
