Pip assessment
Hi a quick question, who actually awards the points for pip. Is it the assessor or the DWP? I have my medical assessment report, and would like to know who actually does the scoring.
Thanks

Your assessment report gets sent to DWP, and then a Decision Maker will go through the report and any relevant evidence and make a decision.
In most cases decision makers go with whats said on the assessment report, but there are instances when they make their own decisions based on other evidence.

Thank you for the reply, so everything in the assessment report I received was done by the assessor?

Yes the assessor report is done by the assessor. Decision Makers almost always follow what the assessor has said but in a small number of cases they may come to a different decision.

ok brilliant, another question.
The phone reception was not good and some questions had to be repeated, is this worth mentioning in my mandatory reconsideration?
