Contribution based ESA

(Sorry I think I managed to post another messages mid-edit and I can't see a way of deleting or editing it?)
Hi,
I thought I was on Contribution based ESA but have had a UC migration letter through.
Looking at my previous payment letters, they include the following:
'The payment of ESA is based on your National Insurance Contribution records'
then
- Extra money because of the Disability Income Guarantee
- Extra money because you are in the Support Group
Then it says 'Your income-related amount is X'
A previous year also included the following line (and nothing has changed since):
'However, because you are entitled to contribution-based Employment and support allowance we will pay you X' (both are the same figue)
So I'm really confused as it mentions both types of ESA. I don't want to migrate to UC, so can I be sure that I'm on CB and that it will continue if I don't choose to migrate? If that's the case will I know how much it would be?
Many thanks.

Hi @Scoper99 it's easily done! You'll gain access to edit after you've reached a certain level from contributing on the community so I've deleted the other posts for you.
I've also allocated a few tags to help your post get attention on the community by members who may have been through something similar, so can offer their input.

You would need to ring ESA for confirmation of how your award is made up.
£140.55 is the weekly rate for CB ESA.
If you receive any Housing Benefit the only way in future to get your rent paid is to claim UC, where Housing Element will be paid as part of your award.

Kimi97 - thanks for the reply. I did try phoning earlier but they didn't really seem able to fully explain what exactly I'm on - it was about as confused as the letters. I'm not on any other benefits so that's not an issue.0

Do you receive a P60 document in the post once a year?
Do any of your ESA uprating letters make reference to "these amounts apply from April to xx November?"

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Hi @Scoper99, a few of your comments accidently went to our spam queue. I have now released these. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi, yes to both.

From the information given you are definitely on CB ESA with an IR top up.

Thanks, hopefully their system will remember that after the UC deadline passes and I'll continue to get the CB element, for however long that will be around for.

CB ESA in the Support Group doesn't expire or have a time limit.
It would continue unless you were to be found fit for work or moved to LCW after reassessment.
As a CB benefit there is bo automatic help with health costs.
You can apply for the NHS Low Income Scheme to see if you are eligible for full or partial help with health costs.
There is also a prescription pre payment certificate available.
