Hello,
I thought it might be helpful if i share the story of my son's first ADP review so others can compare and refer to it.
My son was a transfer from PIP. He was awarded double enhanced in 2020 for 5 years. Covid extended that to 6 years and he wouldn't have been due a review until November 2026 on that system.
However, as we are in Scotland, his award moved seemlessly to ADP early 2025 and his first review is now.
The first thing I noticed is that the review letter is addressed to him. As he is under a legal guardianship, I do have power to open and deal with his mail.
I could not believe how simple the form is. Basically, if no change, sign and return!
There is an option to fill out that declaration online too.
There is another sheet, listing the points awarded by pip. If you already have the pip assessor's copy of where points were awarded, you will have seen it already. But it could be new to you if you don't know where you scored.
So - this morning 9.15 a.m, i call them. 45 mins to get through which is perhaps to be expected at that time of a morning (lines open at 8)
I told them the appointeeship didn't seem to have been transferred and they confirmed it had not been. They gave me an address to forward a copy of the guardianship order.
I also told them i did not think my son qualified for enhanced disability. I described what he can and can't do. The advisor didn't know the answer either. He advised that i sign "no change" but add a statement in with my form with the extra info.
Apparantly, even if you select "no change" they do get in touch.
The envelope supplied in 2nd class. I might upgrade to 1st class recorded.
I will post it tomorrow and keep this thread updated when i hear from them.
