Awarded lcwra

Hi I’m posting on behalf of my mum and she has just been awarded lcwra and is wondering will she be entitled to any back pay she first sent sick notes in in November 2023 but had around 3 health assessments and they was declined till this last one when they have just awarded her it any help is really appreciated.

Eligibility for backpay will depend on when UC start her waiting period.
LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is added into payment. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.
As your Mum's case is a complex one I'd recommend asking UC when they intend to start her waiting period, and speak to a trained benefits advisor.
