PIP Review Appointment
Hello - my son has had PIP for epilepsy for 3.5years - extended 6 mths due to delays on assessing:
Since original diagnosis he's also been diagnosed with autism and put on meds for anxiety: we put this in review. He's also having therapy for his anxiety as it is quite extreme.
We were told he might not need a telephone assessment as he scored over 4 points in a category previously: however he has just had an appointment for a telephone review next week.
He's not good on calls due to his social anxiety behaviour and autism - as his mum can I go on the call and clarify bits if needed as he doesn't always explain himself v well?
finally he has been in uni locally the last year, doing maths, but living at home and doing a lot online / at home. When he is at uni I or his dad lift him in and out as he struggles on many levels. He's not made any friends and his behaviour is still a little different - many examples. I do worry about him daily as it's not much of a life but we try to big him up and keep him involved in everything we do.DVLA refused him his provisional licence recently so it is hard0
Many thanks x

Hi @Julia21, you should be able to help your son on the call. Unless you are his appointee, they will likely want to hear some answers from him, but you can help elaborate and support his answers.
If you did want to become his appointee, there's some information here:
Hope it all goes well for you both ☺️
