ACCESS TO WORK
Hi Folks
I have just applied for Access to Work help.
I had automated email stating that it could take up to 30 weeks to make their decision.
Is there any way that this can be speeded up, i.e. personal circumstances?
Thanks

Hi @Manjinder
Usually applications for access to work are only sped up if you are due to start a new job within 4 weeks of sending the application off so I'm not sure if they can be sped any up other way unfortunately.1 -
Hi @Mary_Scope
Thanks for your response.
I've been in my job for the last 4 years.
We were required to go into the office 3 times a week. My manager used to give me a lift both ways.
However, from October they want us to come in 4 days a week. My colleague said he can only give me a lift twice a week, and that I have to make my own way there for the other 2 days.
The bus service isn't great - one bus every 1 hour. If I miss the bus then I would be late for work. It isn't a very reliable service.
Ideally I would like help in paying for a taxi. That is the reason why I applied to Access to Work.
Thanks

Hi again @Manjinder
Ahh i see, based on your circumstances then it may be best to chase up your referral and contact Access to Work to explain your situation and hopefully they will be able to expediate it as you're already in work1 -
Hi again @Mary_Scope
I have tried calling them but they don't answer the phone 😓

You won't be able to speed this up. The Tories and Red Tories have been deliberately running AtW into the ground for a while now.
Start looking for another job that you can do from home.
