    Good afternoon Lillymay88,

I empathise with the rough few weeks issue.

For a month or so my cervical dystonia has been kicking off. It's treatment had been missed for over half a year and fixing that is necessarily a slow process. It's enormously distracting, really quite uncomfortable, and it considerably increases my heart-rate and breathing. I'm struggling to sleep, it wakes me up early and once I'm awake it's difficult to get back to sleep.

My Jaaag's had a misfire, Her supercharger has been being a bit reluctant in forthcoming, and She could do with some paintwork at the back/underside. Her rear β…” is basically a single piece of 22-year old metal and that may be complicated to maintain.

After many years of struggling to locate/create a suitable wheelchair following the amputation of my leg and shortening of the other there's still a delay on that. I've had to use a twenty-six year-old 'chair because it's the only adjustable one I have, and it wasn't a great 'chair back then.

The youngest of the cats who live with me also managed to give herself a nasty wound above her eye. It was about an inch long and a centimetre wide.

Fortunately that's now a month I've done and my glass is full of an exquisite single malt.

Tomorrow I'll be repeatedly stabbed in the neck with Botox. By the weekend my neck will be a lot better.

We've identified the 3rd-right coil pack as the source of my Jaaag's engine issue. We've replaced that and it's been an opportunity to change the filters and plugs etc, have a bit of a refresh. I've found a helpful chap locally whose company is going to sort the paintwork out.

I'm expecting the wheelchair company here very soon for what I hope will be the last time. After that it won't take long for me to work the rest of it out and crucially I can do that myself. Organising strapping down my leg may even be interesting, in the past I didn't need to. My new chair is certainly far easier to manoeuvre, much lighter and it should fit into The Jaaag.

Following some careful cleaning and a bounty of treats, the cat's eye has healed well.

In my opinion the year still has some sunshine to give. I've had a splendid crop of tomatoes for a while and another is nearly here. The chocolate ones are a particular delight. It's been a long and hot enough summer that I'm almost enjoying the evenings drawing in. The new series of Taskmaster starts soon. Edinburgh fringe has gifted us loads of new comedy to watch.

Life's rarely straightforward enough that things can only get better, but they certainly just might a bit!

    Good luck, fingers crossed.

Hi Lillymay88. Just wanted to say I hope things start to improve very soon. Seems to me you have ups and downs, have a really good spell then it goes pear shaped. But hopefully you'll back back up again before long. Take care x

Thank you to everyone who responded to my post. I have talked to my counsellor, doctor and the hospital - things are moving forward 😊 I just need to try not worry too much and rest/take it easy as much as I can
