After the stress of waiting like everyone else for over a year for the pip review mine was due today at 08.30.

So got up early asked my grandaughter who helps me to be here and we sat and waited. 10 minutes after the time the phone rang we looked at each other and I answered.

A lady spoke and said they had to cancel and re book it 2 more weeks later no explanation when I tried to speak all I got was that okay.

If my anxiety was not bad before its through the rough now.

Is this common pratice no wonder we're all waiting far too long to get reviewed and there seems to be nothing any of us can do about it.

I can completely sympathise with you here @slimjohn. I would be feeling exactly the same waiting for the call. It takes a lot of emotional energy just to build up for things like this. Hopefully they've given you a new date so at least you know when the next call is due.

They gave me another apointment in 15 days time.

It was such a worry and stressfull leading up to the call then the disapointment when they cancelled it. I was shaking and physically sick when they hung up. Got to go through the stress again.

I can now see why everyone is waiting so long for reviews when planed assesments don't happen.

Just wondering how many poeple are cancelled and rebooked.

Thanks for trying to keep me positive

This happened to me with a face to face several years ago. After I'd already told them I couldn't manage face to face and they forced me to attend anyway. Then said it was cancelled when I arrived. Was given the option of returning an hour later on the same day or having to rebook for an unknown date in the future. Didn't feel I had any choice but to get it over with later the same day. The physical damage caused to my health that day still affects me now over half a decade later. Honestly wish I'd never applied in the first place. Irony is that I did get more income from it eventually, but couldn't use that income by the time I got it due to my physical limitations, some of which considerably worsened by the PIP F2F.

I really feel for you @slimjohn. Just hope having the new date helps put your mind at rest a little, and you're able to put it to the back of your mind until nearer the time. I know that's not always possible, but I hope 😊
