PIP renewal
hey guys feeling really sick 🤢 just had pip renewal for ptsd previously two year ago, but have been diagnosed with autism this year so had to do a whole assessment again. I had the lowest rate for it but I think I will lose it completely now . It always sets me back these assessment with my mental health. I said to the assessor if I lose this complyat least I’ve got my autism diagnosis to help me with my new support mental health worker and she agreed so I think my intuition is right

Hi @ellie451, the assessments can be really tough to deal with. Did you just have it recently? It's hard but if you can, try not to make assumptions about what the result will be based on how you felt at the time. It's really difficult to predict these things!
Hopefully you'll hear back soon and can decide on what your next steps are ☺️ fingers crossed for a positive result!

Thanks yes today
I’ve just had a pip text to say they’ve received the report already now got to wait up to six weeks they said. I really benefit from the blue badge so hoping if I’m turned down I can still get to ask the council to keep it with autism report do you think that would be possible? Thanks for responding to the anxiety I’m feeling

Hi @ellie451 It's worth asking the council, yes. The rules can be different for each council so there may be ways around it if you're not able to qualify for PIP.
You can also challenge the PIP result if you're not happy with the result. There's some useful advice on the Scope website if you need it:
And our members are very helpful too if you have any questions.
But hopefully it won't come to that and you'll get the result you need ☺️

I started this post here on this forum and there are some links which help laying out describe how we need to frame our responses to PIP. I used it and it helped me. You may know this already, but I wouldn't have known, good luck. You may want to focus on the first two links. Good luck
