Just wondering if I be still able to get Transitional protection if I don't go across to UC until 29th October, its cut off is 7th November.

I was originally doing a week before, a lady helping me, and can't until the 29th. The day I was going to, would bethe day after a pet scan to see if I have suspected lung cancer, due to nodule growth which it hadn't the year before, I've never smoked.

That they use small amount of radiation sugar to see any cancer cells.

Also what commitments do they ask for, still waiting for a letter from the outcome of wca 2 weeks ago.post is terrible here.

Yes you would still get Transitional Protection, as you will still be applying before your deadline.

As things stand in ESA WRAG you would get the UC equivalent which is Limited Capability for Work. I believe monthly appointments with a work coach are the norm at the moment, commitments should be an agreement between you and the coach, some coaches are more reasonable than others. They can ask you to do work preparation activities short of making job applications that is the expectation in LCW.

Hopefully your WCA outcome will come through before you migrate, if the decision is LCWRA you won't have any work commitments.

When I phoned after the extra payment last week, it said that next payment is £400

That is still just basic rate of UC. No other elements added.

UC payments are only calculated after each assessment period ends though, so you might be phoning too early to get an accurate figure for the next payment.

Ok, sorry. I must have missed an earlier thread. Will leave it to Kimi to advise next time she's on here. 🙂

If following your WCA you have been awarded ESA Support Group then you will migrate across with entitlement to LCWRA.

No work commitments in LCWRA, just a commitment to keep them informed of any changes.

As you have SDP then some Transitional Protection will still apply, and this won't be impacted if you make your application before the deadline.
