Hi guys.
I need to vent a bit.
My current PIP decision ends in March 2026,but I received a renewal form to fill out in July of this year.
Today I received a text message saying my review is complete and that I'll receive a decision letter within two weeks.
I've been on PIP since 2019 and have always had an assessment (3times) ,but this time, three months after submitting the renewal form, the decision was made.
I've been stressed since morning 😬
Hopefully , the letter will arrive as soon as possible , and I'll know where I stand 🤞🏻

    Hi @Blue_eyes

Fingers crossed you won't be waiting too long for the letter to arrive and you'll be able to have peace of mind soon!

    Hi

You have had a paper based assessment.

    I had the same.

    Mine took about 5 months.

I remained on higher rate both components and I was awarded 10 years "ongoing".

My son didn't have an assessment either for renewal. He was kept on enhanced for both.
I believe if they don't do an assessment they are inclined to think nothing has changed so unlikely that you award will change.

There seems to be an increase recently in the number of paper based assessments for PIP Reviews this may be to try to reduce the review backlog.

I had a paper based too in June this year , I was disappointed because although I got enhanced on both I didn't get a long term award . So now have to go through the stress again in June 2027 .
