I've written my cards and wrapped gifts. I'm not looking forward to Christmas because I'll be on my own with a Wiltshire Farm Food turkey meal. It's the worst time of year for me.

Nothing has been planned yet for this year.

My Mum isn't into Christmas so since moving out I've gone to my cousin's house for a few hours Christmas Day.

I'm extremely grateful but still end up spending lots of time alone, Boxing Day was my Nan's Birthday so that's hard, plus lots of things that keep me going shut down for up to a few weeks. It's very hard to keep occupied and I'm always relieved when normal life resumes first week of January.

    Halloween events started here yesterday.

Its a big all week long event and I will be glad when its over.

After that people here seem to plan for Christmas.

As much love and warmth as it can bring, it can be a really difficult time for many people, for a huge variety of reasons. Each year lots of us on the community pop on over Christmas, it's usually quite a nice atmosphere and there's always someone around.

I haven't got any plans just yet, we try to get Halloween out of the way first. But it's definitely in the back of my mind.

What about you @jonf? Any plans yet?

I am on my own unless a couple of hill walkers pass this way. Hoping to have completed the sale of this place before Xmas but will see. It is ok as I have my animals.

Maybe I can play to the hill sheep. If I leave the gate open they will wander in and destroy everything

Not been the same since my mum died 8 years ago. I do try and do Christmas. I like the decorations and Christmas carols. My daughter hates it and prefers Halloween.

no cards for me to send to people. I do not know anyone in the UK. Feel like a stranger in my own country.

I'm sad for you. I'll get cards but I know the senders don't really give a damn about me. I send them. I suppose it's just a sign of goodwill towards people.

The Christmas Dinner is a worry. For a few tears I've got by on Wiltshire Farm Foods turkey. I can't face it again. Right now, I'm ill with flu. The very thought of any sort of ready meal makes me feel sick. I haven't had home cooked food for three years.

    I don’t need fake friends.

Would like to meet someone and maybe, just maybe. I know I am a good catch but have had to focus on my health as today I have just started walking again after nearly three years.
at the moment I am too much into health and strength training as living on your own when you have limited mobility is hard.

Would love to say a little more on that. Let’s just say I have some great neuro physio people.
