Service Charge Payments whilst on UC
My Husband and I both receive Universal Credit and are in the LCWRA Group. We have been receiving Universal Credit since the end of January 2025. The Service Charge on our Leasehold Flat is £230 and I understand that after 9 months on UC we qualify for service charge payment.
I contacted DWP on my journal last week to ask them the process to apply for this but have not heard back. Should I upload my bank standing charge which shows this payment. I also thought about uploading the accounts for the residents association which shows a breakdown of the service charge. Can anyone advise me of the correct procedure so that we can receive this benefit. And help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

To upload anything you would need to wait for a response, if they want something uploaded they will ask & provide a temporary upload link.
Uploading is not a feature available permanently on the Journal.
Which option did you submit the Journal note under?
Payment option is best as this should go directly to case manager.
Otherwise, with LCWRA there is no work coach so messages go to a service centre which can take a long time to reply.

Thank you Kimi
I didn't add a function on the journal, just sent it as a message, so should I copy and add the message under payment option?
munch appreciated

Writing a note on the Journal is the same as sending a message.
I would recommend sending the message again, using the Payment option.
