I expect such rhetoric to find favour within certain quarters. As they say - "when the US sneezes, the world catches a cold".

This reminds me of David Cameron's government, as it was later revealed, while they were still in office, that it was paying ATOS £80 bonus for each claimant they had failed and found fit for work!
Guess what - Cameron's government never denied this.
