Hi, my name is snibo! Are there any bank accounts that don't charge you a fee to switch?

hi everyone
firstly I apologise for adding this comment in the wrong place. I just couldn’t see anything about state pension. I have just found out tonight that state pension is reducing this week by £140.00 per month! I am absolutely horrified and really worried. It seems that there has not been much press around this reduction. How do the government think pensioners are going to cope with such a large reduction. I am fed up of worrying all the time and this has just added a whole other level.

Where have you read this?

Hi @westpest. I've only found this information on websites that wouldn't be considered reliable. One source I found said the change comes into effect on 3rd November, so if this was the case, it would have been announced formally as the change would have already happened.
Please don't worry as this seems to be false.

hi Rachel
Honestly thank you for looking into this. I did think it odd that nothing had been mentioned on the news etc.
Thanks again it’s really appreciated0 -
Not a problem @westpest. There's so much misinformation out there it can be difficult to know what's true and what's not. I'd suggest that if you only see something on TikTok, YouTube, or on websites that you haven't heard of before, it's most likely not true. You can always come here to check 😊
