Lcwra award
MMorning Everyone. I have been on lcw for just over a year with no extra payment/element.my conditions have worsened so i asked for a review on the 27th of June. I sent in loads of new medical evidence and so on.i had my work capability assessment on the 7th of November and I was found to have lcwra on the 20th of November. I have been told back pay is only payable from the 20th of November and I will receive it in December's universal credit payment. As I was already on lcw that means no waiting period because I have already done that when I was awarded lcw.can anyone advise please. Thanks 😊

Yes that's correct, no waiting period when moving from LCW to LCWRA.
Unless both the below conditions were met, the payment for LCWRA element first applies in the Assessment Period in which the decision was made.
Claimant reported a change in health
AND
Submitted continous Fit Notes from report date up until the decision was made.

I sent fit notes all the way through. I reported a change in health on the 27th of June

Okay then you should qualify for backpay dating back to June.
Backpay is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least.
You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed due to underpayment. The money will then be paid within a few working days and new versions of your statements will be added.
