Advice
I made migration claim from ESA income related to UC on 18 November. Appointment at job centre for I’d and claims commitment. First UC payment on 24 December. At this stage I wasn’t aware of also being also on contribution based ESA.
Today I got a letter dated 24 November that my contribution based ESAwas ending on 1 December 2025 and that job centre will contact me to book me an appointment to complete my new style ESA claim and create a claimant commitment. I already have a commitment at the previous appointment for UC. Since I am in support group. There is no work related activity.
On my universal credit I have someone professional who has explicit consent to act for me.
I am worried about facing the phone call on my own and face a different set of commitments to that of what I got on UC.
Mitch is easier and less hassle if I don’t go ahead with my claim for new style ESA and just stay with condone related element. I get my pension in May 2027

Please read through this thread for information and reassurance.
It's a very simple process for New Style ESA.

I migrated to UC in a three way call on Friday and on Monday i received a call from my local Job Centre giving me an appointment to visit them. I called them and informed them i was housebound so they said its ok i do not need to visit them and my UC application is now complete and up and running.
