Yet another UC review

in Universal Credit (UC)

My last review was completed in March of this year, yesterday I received an email telling me to log into my journal & I have a call tomorrow

"We are reviewing your Universal Credit claim to make sure your payments are correct." blah blah blah!

To say I'm fizzing is an understatement. A couple of weeks ago, I received a message to look in my journal, I have a Work Focused Interview, at least I received a month's warning, but have that to look forward the week before Xmas.

The last face to face I had, she apologised for them leaving me for so long & they would start checking on me every month to six weeks. I'd rather they'd not & they didn't, not until the first review that started in January & now these two. I asked two questions at the f2f, neither have ever been answered, but now this, again!

I haven't been doing so great lately & this really has put the icing on the cake, plus the ruddy cherry! So be warned, they can review you whenever they feel like it. Oh & there was nothing of interest or any money spare in my last review. 🤯

    Hi @JessieJ , i was wondering where you had gone, sorry to hear you are struggling.

    I too had that message on my journal yesterday, and i filled it in later in the day. I had forgotten about it, but my memory was jogged by another member mentioning bank checks.

    This is the first review for me, and i am a year now on UC. No mention of bank statements yet, and that suits me just fine!

    There must be a small army employed to keep poking us, lol.

    They have employed more investigators on the fraud side of things, a thousand comes to mind!

    There's timing & you now have the fun to look forward to! 😉

    As said, this is my second, but can't get over that it is so soon. The phonecall was to ask for the four months statements of all accounts, thankfully, I only have one. I did question it as I had completed in March, she said they can be six months after. But, they are working through everyone. So they now have more staff & they'll be checking recently reviewed, what a waste.

    She said my statements had to be in by the 25th December, so I said, oh, merry Christmas, to which she laughed. Then went on to say, but I won't get a reply until the week after new year, as they're all on holiday until then!

    Had the two emails saying go to my journal for the follow up to the call & I just got on & sorted then uploaded the statements. Will be interesting to see if I get a response before they go on their hols.
