Hi all
Hope everyone is well ?
I've received my first uc statement for the upcoming payment .
My housing costs will be paid directly to the LANDLORD.
I don't understand it.
Single claimant.
It says £400 standard payment
£423.27 LCWRA
£236.74 Transitional payment protection.
Also my prescription is due on 22 what do I do ?
Many thanks

Hello @hass
Is there something in particular about the statement you don't understand? Is the amount not what you expected?
With your prescription you should be able to tick a box that says you receive UC.

Standard payment: Paid to everyone on UC
LCWRA: This is the UC equivalent of ESA Support Group
Transitional Protection: This is added if your total UC award is lower than legacy benefits at the time of migration.
Your UC award adds up to the same amount you were getting from ESA per month £1060.15.
(to convert a weekly benefit into a monthly you multiply the weekly amount by 52 then divide by 12).
So everything seems to be as it should be 👍🏻
You can now tick the UC box for prescriptions, and show your statement if asked at the pharmacy.

I will be receiving £737 on 19 DEC,. Then 2 jan 2026
MY ESA INCOME RELATED

It happens sometimes during migration that you are accidentally paid too much Income Related ESA.
If this happens it is deducted from your UC award until the debt is repaid.
You can contact DWP Debt Management to see if anything is still owed.
