Anxiety adhd mental health no longer able to claim motability?
Hi everyone
Just a quick question, after the recent budget am I right in thinking that ppl with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression etc will no longer be eligible for motability? Was trying to get my head around the changes and am sure I have read this will be the case and they are only awarding this to ppl with illnesses such as epilepsy copd severe asthma, heart problems, and it will be more aimed at ppl with physical illness.

@mags1234 There was nothing in the budget about this. There are no plans to change PIP until the PIP investigations and reports are complete in Autumn 2026. I don't know where you are getting your information from.

I expect that will depend upon how much your mental health issues affect your capacity to mobilise/travel mags1234.

Looked into this, it is from the Conservatives - a call for and pledge for it to be carried out. Dated - 8th December 2025.
