in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi everyone I'm new to the community. I have recently moved in with my partner who receives UC, LCWRA and pip. Claim was changed to a joint claim. Whilst going through the application I answered the questions on 'Caring' and stated that I care for partner. Will this automatically start on the system for carers element. Only I have seen some posts online saying I also have to mention I'm a carer in my journal or go into the journal and put it under a change of circumstances. Not clear on what exactly I am supposed to do. Any suggestions please?

    If you reported caring during the application there is nothing further you need to do.. Carers Element should be on your next statement.

    Thank you. His next statement date is due in this month so probably have to wait till next month's to find out I presume.

    As long as you reported the change before the end of this assessment period, it should be on his upcoming statement @geeky.
