What the hecks going on here?

They can't keep up with assessments as it is. I can't find out exactly what this involves I'm sure there must be more to it than meets the eye.

I've looked at their Facebook page, no source is given. Nothing at all on their website and I didn't get anywhere with a general search.

Might be one of those headline grabbing reports- from something with no teeth unconnected to Government like a pressure group.

@Kimi87 I couldn't find a source either, generally fightback are on the ball, they have a good reputation but sometimes I wonder. Sick to the teeth of the constant bombardment of misinformation. Just wondered if anyone on here could shed any light. Like we dont have enough coming at us from all angles. Thanks.

I did hear recently that Bulgaria overthrew their government and caused them to resign, they did this by doing nationwide "No conforming" strikes/protests/marches.

I am hopeful that if things do get really bad for us we can do something similar and rally up as a nation and fight for our rights together, the only way a governement will ever listen is if we resist them and not conform to their rules.

    @Kimi87

    I have found it

    under key recommendations

    • Biennial reviews of PIP and Work Capability Assessment criteria to ensure eligibility reflects modern society, technology, and additional costs.

@Catherine21 I know, I'm crippled with anxiety too.

Day and daily. My heads mush.

I hate to see the postie each day, I'm due pip review. My Gastric consultant says my anxiety is making my conditions worse. Yup I fully agree. 30 years of numerous conditions and still fighting my corner every few years.it takes a terrible toll. I understand completely.

Thanks, as I suspected just a pressure group/think tank.

@rubin16 Something has to give. We can't live in this perpetual fear of losing to a government that increasingly wants to starve us into submission. They've made it very clear they don't want to help us only hinder us in the worst possible ways. We don't choose to be sick, disabled, I'd rather be 100% well. Its diabolical.

please, please, please do yourself a massive favour and don't look anything up, panic about things you come across in passing.

trust me the damage worrying about anything at all can do to your blood pressure and general health, is more frightening than dross from the desperate saddos at reach media outlets and right wing rags or anywhere else really.

reports, studies whatever mean nothing in active law, be kind to yourself and forget you saw it.

You need an escape, something to take your mind off things. Like its healthy to worry alittle bit and is only natural. But having anxiety and worry over this constantly and where its affecting your day to day activities is not healthy. Like for me, I worry about things in the morning and go through different things, then come afternoon I watch other videos and things to cheer me up and also I'll play simulator games to escape reality for abit.

You need to find something or a hobby where you can goto to take your mind off things for abit. Could be absolutley anything like colouring, knitting, painting, playing games, collecting literally anything thats passionate for you.

    Take care.

    Part of it says

Currently, the time between award reviews can be as short as nine months and most people do not see a change in their award at their review.

That is to be extended for the majority of PIP claimants aged 25 and over to a minimum of three years for a new claim, rising to 5 years at their next review if they remain entitled.

As a lifelong Socialist its a hard pill for me to swallow watching a Labour administration going after some of the weakest members of our society like the elderly, the frail, and the disabled. The only comfort for me being things would probably be even worse if we were under a Tory administration.

Starmer will DEFINITELY not last another 12 months - so he's one less to worry about

Next Question - who will replace him ?

    Any preferences ?
