Detailed expense breakdown
Hi,
I’ve just been contacted by DWP for a detailed breakdown of my expenses and I have no idea why.
Anyone have a clue! 🕵️♀️

Hi,
Could you give us any more information on this?
I can't think of any reason for ESA to be asking about expenses. Was this a letter or a phone call? Where have you been asked to provide this information to them?

I'm not sure about this @sara74. Typically people are asked to supply bank statements. As OverlyAnxious has said, if you can give us some more information hopefully we can figure out what's going on.

Sorry about not replying, I couldn’t find the thread again!
Thanks for replying.
I have my own business so they are wanting to know all my expenses.
I hope I’ve done it right as the worry is so vague.
How often are people reviewed for ESA generally please?

That was meant to read instructions are so vague.

Thank you. Most people on ESA don't work so we don't see much of this to base advice on. If you are on Permitted Work then I would expect a review roughly every 1-2 years to make sure you're still within the PW rules. Though they can ask for a review at any time, especially if something flags up a potential change on their system.

I’m hoping it’s a routine review and nothing unintentional has flagged up a review!
I’ve never been through a review so feel a little lost as the requirements are so vague and I don’t want to get anything wrong.
Appreciate the reply nonetheless, nice to know there are people to turn to, even if it’s just an ear or shoulder rather than practical advice.
Hope you all have a lovely day. ❤️🩹
