Poem – New date New Year.

Well Christmas has been and gone,

The end of another year

All that pressure for one day

We now spend the next few months

Repaying all that debt.

Is it really worth it

Just for one day each year

When you can have 364 Non-Christmas days.

And is Every year.

I wonder if you made a wish, or something you want to change

But then again, how long will it last, a couple of days into the new year?

Or do you need another year to change that annoying thing

That bugs everyone about you, in order to get some ‘bling’

That present you could not afford, that phone that every one has

To get that new version, where they have traded all theirs in.

I am always a year behind, all those other guys

But then again, I didn’t pay a £1000 for that new phone.

I think I need to make a resolution, one that I can keep,

the thing I need to change, is to appreciate what I will get

after all it’s the thought that counts,

So this year I didn’t buy my wife her favourite Perfume

That one I got last year, because they ran out of TESTER, at the local shop this year.

The moral of my story is that you don’t need to have a resolution to change

Its about being some that you used to be when I met you as a teen.

So I searched for months before to get the perfume’s that she liked

And only one shop in Britain sold it, and that was in London town.

I ordered it from AMAZON, and it came the day before,

So all was well at Christmas and right the way through the New Year.

That simple task has seen me all right, and I see that sparkle in her eye,

I think I have started something where memories have been ignited.

So without further a due, I say Happy New Year.

Love this. Yes Christmas has been spoiled for a lot of us. Halloween and Christmas decorations out at the same time, ridiculous. It is now all about spend, spend, spend. I am a bit of a shopaholic but this year I am cutting back a lot. That was such a lovely present you bought your wife reminding her of a time you were both young and madly in love with eachother.

I love this @onebigvoice. I completely agree with the sentiment and it's so lovely that you managed to find the perfume for your wife.

    Poem for the New Year.

I know its only January and I am already at it,

But some time you can't rest, or place things back in the Attic

My illnesses are 24/7 you see, just like last year's

I'm not the only one, and don't wish to complain

but when do we get a rest, Oh from all this pain.

Well fear not other posters, the dawn is fast approaching

It seems the Chancellor is now listening to a post I made last year

I challanged them to assess me back in 2017, in a hope that things would change,

Well on paper, yes it did.

We now have a motion or Bill that has now been set in Motion.

That by the 18th of January, all will see it here

The motion is about the Mental Health Act, and how the tribunal's see this problem

And has now give them direction, to stop the paper ploy.

They now have to make sure that they are registered as well

but this is only a side issue, as the DWP have to as well

They have to provide the details of the assessment officer

To show that the reports are done inline with the appropiate LAW.

So fear not about the cuts to benefits, everyone might see

as things are changing daily, as the news reports can be seen.

Don't be put off by Lip service and head line grabbing titles

As OBV has other ideas, and consequesses shown of those results.

On completion of the bill, later this month, another headline grabbing title,

Labour does another U_Turn and benefits are on the way up.

You might like also to check your tax returns and make sure they are done,

because the tax man say you will get no rebate, if you have not already done.

So watch this space as things may change faster than I can type

As its already gone infront of the commissioner with the HELP of SCOPE.

I know its a funny poem

but the truth they say, it hurts,

but I can stand a bit more pain

because it can't get any worse.

I have contacted those that presented it

and they don't seem to know,

    but there are other issues

from last year still on the go

I have now started to compile a list

of where they went all wrong

and it now seem those people

    have been archived all along.

You just can't forget us now

    the New Year has begun

and say again, contact your MP

to keep them in the game.

So fear not all on here and those that have just signed on

Scope will not forget you, each and everyone.

The ball is now rolling and it will not stop

because like all the other commissions, this one will be the one.

Time limits have been set in the cases that I have seen

and once the date expires, those PDF's need to be seen,

Its too late asking for any extention, that time has already gone

but now wait for a brown envelope from OBV, as you will be the next one.

in court explaining delays, and why you have a backlog

and not to say we don't have the resources, as you have already been paid for everyone.

I finally say I am looking at ones I have already done and once I log them

will ask ADMIN, as all assessments and form filling will be like the NHS, and be filled out by the Professional ones, who will be paid just like all of them.

    POEM - US.

I'd like to start a poem

    One that's all about us

That shows that we are no different

    From that other lot.

In fact I'm glad I have one

one, that says what I have got

I know that its a long list, as I have more than one

But who better to examine me than a professional one.

The NHS is brilliant, I don't care what people say

Cos' at least that report, is alwarys on display.

Other doctors look and say, I know what all that is

And diagnose another tablet, in a hope it will go away.

Well fear not all who read, there's change along the way

As Wes Streeting, is the new kid, that has to deal with budgets and the wage.

He's set the ball in motion, to say that he will fix all this

So I can't understand, what they all demand, to steer him on his way.

The Government has repassed the rules, the way they all see us

So now the Assessment system's set, they will have to follow us,

A PDF document, says what they need to do,

So by May, the voters will be shown the way

And all our assessments will only be done the NHS WAY.

The NHS had our support, when everyone was at risk

And the government partied, Oh at there own risk?

Well now that assessments are done by the NHS and money goes back to them

We can at least look forward to a HOSPITAL BED.

    OBV 17/01/2026.
