DLA backdated payment

Hello everyone ,

From this month payment statement from Universal credit including disable child element and carer element as we are only receiving of this month but its not backdated or recalculated yet since october 2025 when the DLA was awarded to my child .

Is anyone can tell please is it take time to process backdated payment or should we request them ?

Backdated money is calculated and paid separately, this usually takes several weeks at least.

You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed due to underpayment, new versions of the statements added & the money will then be paid within a few working days.
