Mandatory reconsideration telephone assessment from decision maker

hello,

Out of the blue yesterday, I received a text informing me I would be receiving a phone call regarding them needing to talk to about my PIP mandatory reconsideration case.

I answered some relevant questions pertaining to the facts of my case. My partner also answered further questions.

The decision maker, was extremely kind and polite.
he also said he would complete the letter before leaving work Last night.

He felt I could be further supported & awarded the enhanced rate on both components ( I was previously on the lower/standard mobility award for ten years )

1/ How unusual is this to hear on the phone all?
also

2/ How long might it be before I receive the award in writing. Please.

At any rate, I was so chuffed to spoken to, with respect from the decision maker, about my case.

    Hi,

As this call was from a Decision Maker (not an assessor) then the confirmation letter is likely to be sent within days, but I would give it up to two weeks to get through the postal system.

As this is for MR, it is not so unusual to be told about an award increase over the phone.

While awaiting the postal letter, you could try the online proof of benefit service, but I'd allow a few working days for everything to go through the system first.
