Disability premium
HHi Can some one help with enhanced disability premium I'm reaching 66 this February.but should I have been entitled to enhanced disability premium when I was first awarded both enhanced pip & under pension age . & on my housing benefit was I entitled to severe disability premium while under pension age

It may be a good idea to contact a local advice agency such as Citizens Advice or contact your local Age UK for advice as this is a complex query.

Hi @bcfc - as I believe you're currently claiming UC, then unfortunately, if eligible, you would need to have looked into claiming these disability premiums before claiming UC to have had any potential financial gain, sorry.
I'd now look into seeing if you may be able to claim Pension Credit once you reach State Pension Age. It does depend on your then financial situation, as it's meant to help 'top up' your State Pension. However in some situations such as possibly yours, if you have been awarded the daily living component of PIP, you may be able to claim up to £82.90 a week.
