Advice please
Hello, I’m wondering if you could help me please or you know of another charity that could help me please. I had a subarachnoid haemorrhage 4 years ago and then September 2024 had a TIA. I then in august 2025 I was diagnosed with a heart condition and hospitalised due to a chronic stress in the work place. I’ve had to endure harassment and bullying due to my disability over the past few years and I’ve been advised that I should not go back into that environment. I desperately need a laptop with software like dragon/ read and text to help me communicate and apply for new job/ training opportunities please. My recovery has been slow due to the added trauma of what I’ve been through and I would really like to look at new opportunities and courses that I can attend online but I only had a work laptop so I’m really stuck without one as I only have my phone. Please can you advise on any support you could offer please. Kind regards Deany

Hi @Deany and a warm welcome to the community from me!
Scope doesn't provide laptops but there is a list of organisations that offer laptop schemes and hopefully one will be suitable for you. There is also the The National Device Bank who provide refurbished laptops, mobile phones and tablets to individuals who may not have access to a device and you can find Local Digital Inclusion Support by entering your postcode. 😊0
